Traveling to and from Buenos Aires takes 20/22 hours. Generally, buses leave Buenos Aires after 5pm and arrive in San Martín de los Andes between 11am and 4pm.
Buses leaving San Martín de los Andes towards Buenos Aires usually leave around 1pm. All ground transportation is concentrated at the local Bus Terminal, located opposite Lake Lácar, only 5 blocks from the civic center.
From the city of San Martín de los Andes you will be able to travel to different tourist areas or other nearby cities and towns by means of an extended and varied public transportation network.
The bus terminal, located downtown on the waterfront of Lake Lácar, concentrates all the international, national and regional transportation offices where you will be able to find information on the different accesses and buy tickets to travel around the area.
You will also find a Tourist information booth, where qualified personnel belonging to the Municipal Department of Tourism will help you organize and plan your stay in the city.
Those passengers wishing to connect San Martín de los Andes and Chile, can choose between two international transportation companies that carry passengers in modern coach vehicles over the border through different international passes.
